NEBOSH
National Certification Vs International Certification?
A lot of people inquire about the
difference between NEBOSH National and International General Certificate
courses, which is superior, or what should they choose? To assist in
understanding this, we've laid it out for you here. There are many learning partners
of NEBOSH
in Pakistan who offer both courses but you have to choose one that
suits your work requirements.
It is important to note that the
NEBOSH International and the National International General Certificate courses
are extremely similar. Of the 2 units of each course, they share 1 "common
unit" (G2). Between the two certificates there are 3 units:
- NGC1 - Management of Health & Safety
- IG1 - Management of Health & Safety - Hazard & Risk Control
- G2 - Practical Assessment (Common Unit) - [IG2 for International Certificate; NGC2 for National]
If you want to finish both of the
qualifications, you're required to finish the above 3 units, but you have to
finish them all within a 5-year timeframe.
The distinction between the two
qualifications is in relation to the legal aspect. The National General
Certificate teaches the student about UK laws and references to UK certification,
while the International General Certificate teaches international codes of best
practices and refers to various international cases.
In addition to the UK Outside of the
UK, the International General Certificate is accepted worldwide by a variety of
